Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation at Stones River Hospital

While the Murfreesboro community has long had excellent outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing rehabilitation services, there has never been a conveniently located, hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation unit closer than Nashville. Since early 2006, the neurology department of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic has partnered with Stones River Hospital in Woodbury, TN to provide these services to patients with stroke, major trauma, joint replacement surgery, or those requiring more aggressive rehabilitative care following complex medical or surgical illness. John Witt, MD is a highly respected neurologist with the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and serves as the Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Center at Stones River Hospital.
Inpatient rehab, when compared to skilled nursing facilities, triples a stroke patient’s chance of regaining function and returning home.
